I feel kind of silly posting my menu plan from last week. I have been so, so sick. Like, couldn’t even focus enough to watch Real Housewives-sick. That’s how you know that I feel like garbage! It turned out to be strep, but I have been resting a ton and drinking fluids and doing all the things I need to be doing. I haven’t touched my blog in nearly a week (the two posts last week happened to be scheduled, it was my first time trying it and it couldn’t have been a more perfect week to do it.)
As I have said in previous posts, since our schedule can change so quickly, I much prefer to post my menu plan from the previous week. And since I was sick, it’s almost non-existent! My husband doesn’t cook (but he cleans and does dishes like a rockstar) so much of the week was leftovers.
Sunday: Marinated steak tips on the grill. We have a local grocery store here called Market Basket and their pre-marinated teriyaki steak tips are THE BEST.
Monday: Sweet & Sour Turkey Meatballs – This is a recipe that a friend gave me years ago, and I will post the recipe here soon. It’s in the crockpot and we repeat this meal monthly because it is a family favorite.
Wednesday through Saturday – NOTHING. 🙁 I had zero appetite, so my husband and kids had leftovers, frozen chicken nuggets, and then my mother-in-law made her homemade Portuguese chicken soup which my kids love, so she brought that over.
So onward and upward! I’m feeling better, finally, although not 100%. And I cooked yesterday– it was the crockpot, and kind of a dump meal (just dump everything in and let cook!) but progress, right?
