Welcome to my second week of Menu Plan Monday! This is a blog linkup run by orgjunkie.com where bloggers list their weekly menu so you can get new ideas for your own menu plan!
If you struggle with meal planning, be sure to check out my post on how I use Google Calendar to meal plan.
Whenever I make my grocery list, I review my menu for the week and make changes if necessary. One thing I also like to do is ask my family if there’s anything they’d like to see on the menu for the next week. My kids are very good eaters, but they often get sick of things so it can be helpful to have their input.
Monday: American Chop Suey, which was an utter fail, unfortunately. My daughter requested it and I had never made it. Her grandmother makes her own version, which is why she wanted it, but I guess mine didn’t come close! Apparently my mother-in-law uses a jarred pasta sauce, and this recipe called for diced tomatoes and canned tomatoes, so it was very different.
Tuesday: Breakfast for Dinner, which is a huge hit in our house! We make pancakes, eggs, and bacon. So easy.
Friday: Spaghetti & Meatballs – I love love love meatballs. It is my life quest to find the perfect recipe. Still not there. When I get there, I will share the recipe– trust me.
Saturday: No meal! We had our neighborhood block party which was so much fun. It’s a potluck, and I made a chocolate cake that I make all the time because it’s so good. The name alone sells it: Cavity Maker’s Chocolate Cake. I will be posting that recipe soon!
Sunday: We ordered pizza. We had friends over for the Pats game, so we did chips and salsa and brownies, too.
